Women at Illinois Gies MBA

7Illinois is home to more than 60 clubs and organizations that are specific to women. Our women find ways to share and expand their personal interests at Illinois, whether it’s campus recreation sports, professional organizations, or community groups.

Many MBA women participate in the Women in Business Society (WiB), which is an MBA Association student club that promotes student interaction with alumnae, recruiters, and other women from across campus.

The small class size at the Illinois Gies MBA is ideal for strong interaction between our students, their peers, and professors. The class size fosters a tight-knit community where your peers are not only your classmates but also your friends. The Illinois Gies MBA has a substantial return on investment with the typical average salary doubling for women who graduate from the program.

Throughout the school year, WiB hosts events that provide support and opportunity for MBA women while also promoting diversity and inclusion. In the past, WiB has hosted both professional and social events. Professional events include corporate information sessions, alumni speaker series and professional workshops. WiB social events endeavor to further networking opportunities and have included wine tastings, silent auctions, and football tailgates.

WiB is a local chapter of MBA Women International and encourages members to attend the annual national leadership conference. There, students can develop professionally and personally through workshop sessions, seminars, industry panels, networking events and a career fair.
